20 march 2017.
Visiting Professor Khin of Southern Mississipi University will leave mandalay @ the end of March2017.
Visiting physics professor from America Khin Maung Maung.
A native of mandalay.
M.Sc from Rangoon University.
A prodigy son of RU physics is teaching " theoretical physics " @ MUphysics dept.
MU Physics has a well organized team of teachers in " theortical physics & experimental nuclear physics" ,under the supervision of Prof. dr. khin swe myint & sayargyi prof. u kyee myint, u mg mg khin, dr. saw win.
Professor Khin will leave mandalay @ the end of March2017.
Ph.D. Theoretical Nuclear Physics, Kent State University (1985).
Research Areas
I have research interests in theoretical nuclear/particle physics and mathematical physics. One of the specialized areas of my research is the formulation of 3-dimensional relativistic two-body equations and their applications to physical systems. Currently, my research group is involved in applying these formalisms in relativistic multiple scattering theories, nuclear reaction calculations and the phenomenology of quark anti-quark bound states.
I am also interested in the application of differential geometry in physics. One of the most beautiful applications of differential geometry in physics is the fiber bundle formalism of gauge theories. One of our aims is to understand how to relate gauge theories formulated on different manifolds and eventually understand such things as AdS/CFT correspondence..
Recent Publications
“Cross Sections from Scalar Field Theory Methods”, John Norbury, Frank Dick, Ryan Norman and Khin Maung Maung ( accepted for publication in Advanced Studies in Theoretical Physics)
