Thesis Title : A PIC CONTROLLED SIMPLE TV GAME SYSTEM.
Submitted for : Ph.D. Degree of University of Mandalay.

On Monday, June 25, 2007, I was invited by Mandalay University to attend Ph.D examination of Hla Hla Win .
We have carefully read and critically examined the above thesis submitted for the Ph.D degree in physics, Mandalay University. We have also orally examined the candidate after the formal presentation of her thesis.
The work deals with construction of a system to play ping pong game on a television screen. Microcontroller PIC16F84 is used to generate video and audio signals to play the game .
The system consists of microcontroller PIC16F84,two joysticks for the players , and a programmer circuit to program the circuit.
Each joystick has five switches (up,down,left, right and fire ). The joysticks could be connected directly to the microcontroller.
The video signal is generated by a two bit DA converter , using only two resistors and the input impedence of the TV receiver.The audio signal is generated using
a one bit DA converter.Two resistors are used at the audio-output of the PIC
for interfacing with the audio devices.
By modifying the program, the present system will become innovation for the development of new game-systems.
The candidate was also able to respond satisfactorily to questions raised by the panel of examiners. Both the external examiner and the board concur that the candidate has put in enough effort and intellectual content into the thesis.
We recommend that the thesis submitted by Hla Hla Win is acceptable for the Ph.D degree of Mandalay University.
